No
The tribes were too fierce, the land too difficult, plus there was nothing there that made the effort worth while.
So they built a huge fortified wall across the north of England, from sea to sea, as a border and to keep the Scots out. It is called Hadrian's Wall, after the Emperor Hadrian who ordered it's building.
Even today its ruins are impressive as it snakes up and down inhospitable hills and over rivers and valleys. One can feel for the poor roman soldier ordered to man the wall.

As far as I know they didn't becasue it was too difficult for them to conquer the highlands they were not familiar with. Also the Scottish were very strong at that time and the Romans knew if they had tried to conquer Scotland all the Scottish people would have helped each other and the Romans would have lost the battle and their reputation.

They came very close but the Scottish were to much for them. The Romans even built Hadrian's Wall to keep the Scots out of the rest of England.

No, they never did. Finally, they were so fed with up with Bravehearts' ferocity that they built Hadrian's Wall.
